Materials:
2 skeins Bernat
Boucle` (color A)
2 skeins Lions
Brands Fun Fur (color C)
Small amount
of solid color Red Heart (color B)
Crochet hook
size L
Tunisian hook
size M
Yarn needle
Notes: Work hat using 2 strands of yarn at a time unless told otherwise.
Fun fur and
Red Heart yarns should also be the same color as well.
With L hook,
ch 52 loosely
Row 1: With M hook- Insert hook in 2nd ch from hook. Casting on: * (yo, pull
up loop)* across leaving all lps on hook. DO NOT TURN (52 lps)

To complete row-Work off lps as follows: yo, pull through 1 lp on hook. (yo, pull through 2 lps on hook)* across until 1 lp remains
on hook.
Row 2: Sk 1st vertical bar, insert hook under next vertical bar, yo, pull up loop,
* insert hook under next vertical bar, (yo, pull up loop)* across. DO NOT TURN. (52 loops on hook) Work off loops
Row 3 –
20: Repeat Row 2.
Row 21: Sk 1st vertical bar, yo pull up lp, insert hook under next vertical bar *(yo,
pull up lp)* across

To complete row, work off lps as follows: yo pull through 2 lps.
* (yo, pull through 3 loops)* across till last 3 0r 4 lps. Yo, pull through all 3 or 4 lps. Tie off. Leave 10 inches for gathering
top and sewing side.

Weave ends on top of row 21. Pull tightly and sew sides together.
Finish off.
Edging: With L hook, work in rounds.
Rnd 1: with 1 strand of (color C), join in any
stitch of Row 1 with a sc. Sc across. Join to first sc. Finish off.
Rnd 2: With 2 strands of (color B), join in any
stitch of Rnd 1 with a sc. Sc around. Join to first sc. Finish Off. Weave in all ends.
Pom-pom: (optional) Use 2 strands of (color C) and 1 strand of (color B). Leave 4 inches for
sewing on to top of hat.
