Special Stitch:
X-stitich- ch 3, *sk next st. Dc, dc in sk st*.Rep across. Dc
in last st.
With color (A) ch 63
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Hdc across. Ch 1 turn. (60 hdc)
Row 2: Sc.*ch1 (add bead), sk next st, sc*. Across. Sc in last stitch.
ch 2. Turn. (30 beads)
Row 3: Hdc in ea. sc & ch 1 space. Across. Ch1 turn
Row 4: Sc across. Join Color B in last sc. Ch 3 turn
Row 5: X-stitch across. Join color A in last dc of X-stitch. Ch 2.
Turn.
Row 6: Hdc across. Ch 1 Turn.
Rows 7-21: Repeat Rows 2-6 (3x) more. Ending with Row 6. Do
Not Finish Off.
*At end of Row 21, ch 1*
Edging (1st option)
Fold bad in 1/2 so that the beads go up and down.Sc through both thicknesses evenly around
bag. 3sc in each corner. When you reach the top edge, sc evenly around. Join to 1st sc. DO NOT FINISH OFF
Ch 3.Turn
On top edge only~ 2 dc in next sc. *Sk next st, sc.Sk next st, 3 dc in sc* Around. join to
top of ch 3. Finish Off.
Edging (Option) 2
Fold bad in 1/2 so that the beads go up and down. Rvsc through both thicknesses on each side.
Finish Off. Rvsc on top edge around. Finish Off.
Fringe (Optional)
On the bottom of the bag, Use Colors A&B for a fringe effect. I made my fringe about
2.5" - 3.0" long.
Scaloped Bottom (Optional)
On the bottom of the bag, sc evenly across. Turn
Ch 3, 2dc in same st. *Sk next st, sc. sk next st, 3 dc in same st. Across. In last
st, sc. Finish Off
Strap:
With Color A, ch 76
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc across. Ch 3 Turn.
Row 2: X- stitch across.Ch 1 Turn.
Row 3: Sc across. Finish off leaving end for sewing.
~ Sew Strap to each side of the bag using a whip stitch.
~ Weave in all ends.
~ Fill bag with goodies! ENJOY!
